well guys thanks for the advice and wary cautions. (charlie we'll see if that tidbit helps things) I didn't mean to start the platform war because i am well a bi-platform kind-of-programmer. There is good on both platforms and if you don't swear allegiance ... well open source philosophy (talk about holy war). But that is different to knowing limitations of any platform, any software and you guys have helped me out yet again. Just wish I had talked to you first before I took the leap. thanks. --carol
