The stream-of-consciousness writing is interesting, but I don't think anybody has the slightest idea what you're asking for. Can you just boil it down to an actual concise question or two?

Yes, MCI is being phased out or unsupported - I think that was one of your questions.

How to start up a locked computer - unless there's something magical in XP, generally you're hosed on a Windows machine - often even ctrl-alt-del won't do it for you. You'll need another machine or device to cycle the power.

You could have the original machine transmit on a regular basis, so if it stops translating you can assume it stopped working, and then force a reboot of it.

I *think* that's what you're asking for. But if not, please just ask in straightforward questions - you're more likely to get help that way.

as some Operative systems Mac, Beos, maybe Linux are having key combination for
starting up closed computers, does anything indicate it would go for PC's power
handling in some bit like way ? Or shall I regret the system and leaving it on

Mci-commands replaced by DirectX? If developed at all? I'm satisfied if so in
