Hi folks! I've been approuched to repair an ill Shockwave file. The original is still up on the site, and the only issue is that the audio does not initially play. Once the viewer has clicked on the menu and visited deeper into the app then if they return to the intro it plays. I figured I could fix this pretty easly.
Well, that isn't the problem I approach you with today. You see, I've been sent the files, and they are older than 8.5. I update the files using the update command under Xtras, and when I attempt a 'preview in browser', it gives me a "Shockwave error - This shockwave movie has errors that have caused playback problems. Please contact the author of this content regarding this problem. Shockwave is unable to continue". If I do a test where I place an audio file and the first flash file in the internal cast of a new document, it works. So, my question is, what is the deal with external casts? I've got scripts, VO, soundFX and SWF casts. What am I doing wrong? I agreed to do this job cheap, as it seemed simple enough, and now I find myself putting many hours into trial and (inevitable) error. yelp... - Drumoon [To remove yourself from this list, or to change to digest mode, go to http://www.penworks.com/lingo-l.cgi To post messages to the list, email [EMAIL PROTECTED] (Problems, email [EMAIL PROTECTED]).
