The image resolution isn't different between the member and the resulting texture, but when it's mapped on a surface, it's most likely interpolated as it's fitted to the shape, and interpolation will result in a slightly fuzzier image. How is this being mapped? On a cube, correct? Does it look stretched on several sides or just on one?
