Hey gang. I just wanted to take this opportunity to wish everyone Happy Holidays and let you all know that I'll be ducking out of the multimedia scene for a while. Today is actually my last day as the head of multimedia here, and I will be making a long trek from Rochester, NY to Austin, TX to shift gears as a senior .NET developer. I'll still be banging in Director during my spare-time, but we all know how spare that time really is...
Director has been a big part of my life since v.6 and even though I only subscribed to these lists (Direct-L and Lingo-L) 2.5 years ago, I've definitely met some great people and hopefully gave a fraction of the amount that I learned. The Director community is an incredible one and the most supportive development community I've ever encountered. Macromedia should be proud of the following they have. You guys all rock. I'll miss the "Director is Dead" threads and the bi-annual Mac vs. PC roast. Oh, and of course Warren's witty retorts. Who knows, maybe I'll be back in the future. Multimedia is like a drug.
