That's exactly ho Osborne asked me to write my Beginner's Guide. It should be findable on Amazon, at least. :)

It starts from the assumption one is a complete novice, but by part 4 is getting into OOP design. I've got chapter excerpts online so you can preview some of the text before you get the book, if it's not available for browsing in a conventional bookstore near you.
