Greetings all...
I'm working on a very simple one screen interface for my client that has 12 links. Each link opens a file (contained on the CD).
The files consist of Microsoft Word (.doc), Microsoft Excel (.xls) and Adobe Acrobat (.pdf).
The Word and Acrobat files work just fine...the Excel application opens with the error message "Can't find file." ...if the user has Excel '97...newer versions of Excel opens the file no problem.
I've tried putting the file on the same level as the projector, tried renaming it and tried about a dozen other things.
Any clues why the older version of Excel "Can't find" this file? (BTW, with Excel '97 open, you can go to 'File --> Open' and browse to the file and it opens fine.
Running D8.5 on a pc (win XP).
TIA
