Anyway, are these results below totally standard throughout international
systems, no matter if you're in the USA or Great Britain, where it's
DD/MM/YYYY vs. MM/DD/YYYY?

now = the systemDate
put now
-- date( 2003, 1, 9 )
put now.year
-- 2003
