I can't seem to get setFilterMask to work in Director MX. Authoring on MacOSX 10.2.3 (haven't tried a projector yet). Anyone else seeing this?

I don't *think* I am -- what are you filtering? How are you setting the mask?

I'm filtering for "TEXT, R*ch", but displayOpen is showing me all files in DMX.

That's the problem -- I believe your filter mask string is wacky. I'm not sure what the RTF file identifier is on Mac (don't recall!); have you tried just "TEXT"?

Yeah, I just realized that. Filtering on creator codes doesn't work with any version of fileio. (I was getting confused with get/setFinderInfo.)

My problem still exists, though. I'm trying to use setFilterMask with the following types, which doesn't appear to work under DMX (mac):
"TEXT" "MV07" "MV08" "MV85"

Here're some msg window tests:

set f = new( xtra "fileio" )
setFilterMask( f, "MV85" )
set p = displayOpen( f )

I wonder if this is a side effect of Apple's move toward using file extensions(?).
