Hi All,

I haven't used this mailing list in a while, but I've hit a bit of a brick
wall with a project and was wondering if anyone could offer any suggestions.

The basic problem stems from a shockwave application when run on one
particular computer - a typical Windows PC system with a broadband
connection. The application presents no problems whatsoever when run on any
other Windows PC computers or on any macintosh computers.

The error message reads:

************************
Shockwave

property list expected for handler
script error. continue?
************************

Now this error occurs every single time that the shockwave application is
run on this computer, even if the user of the computer kills his history and
clears his cache.

The property list that is being expected by the shockwave application is
actually stored in an SQL Server database and is accessed via a getURL
function through an ASP script.

Now for this sort of error it would appear that the shockwave application
has not correctly loaded the text string from the ASP script, and has
possibly cached the faulty string too. However we're run history killing
programs on the computer and we still get the same problem.

Has anyone seen this before and can anyone suggest possible alternatives? My
only thoughts at the moment lead me to believe that it may be a memory
problem with the computer or possibly the shockwave plugin itself.

Thanks in advance,

Paul
