Try either of these in the Flash inside Director:
getURL("event: someLingoHandler\(" + var_someFlashVariable + "\)");
or
getURL("lingo: someLingoHandler\(" + var_someFlashVariable + "\)");
Then in Director:
on someLingoHandler me, FlashVar
doSomethingWithFlashVar(FlashVar)
end
