C'mon Michael, I thought I told you it would be Director MX 2012. Sheesh, you think
we'll slip our release by four years like that? ;P
Seriously, I agree that this type of behavior is detrimental to Director and so I've
been grouping together all known bugs where dot-syntax fails and folks have to use
verbose syntax so that we can look at all of them and do some house cleaning (for an
example other than this issue, getting the number of members in a cast library
requires verbose syntax). If you have other areas where you know that dot-syntax fails
and you're required to use verbose syntax then *please* let me/us know by submitting
those issues via the web-form at the following URL:
<http://www.macromedia.com/support/email/wishform/?6213=5>
While I'm doing my to actually respond to every bug submitted via the form I can't
guarantee a reply, but please know that I am in fact reading every bug that's
submitted and making sure it's entered into our database. Thanks in advance for
anything y'all submit.
Cheers,
Tom Higgins
