Hi Andrew, You are propably using Internet Explorer to test your pages, since in Netscape Navigator your script should work just fine. In IE externalEvent only triggers VBScript. That is, you must either write your code in VBScript or just redirect function call through a VBScript function.
I suppose you have missed the most obvious source of online help, since there is a nice tutorial in TechNotes... http://www.macromedia.com/support/director/ts/documents/externalevent_samples.htm BR, Jussi Jokinen ----- Original Message ----- From: "Andrew Dempsey" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "Direct-L List" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>; "[EMAIL PROTECTED] Com" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Monday, September 22, 2003 5:44 PM Subject: <lingo-l> Getting externalEvent to work > Hi all, > > I can't figure out why I am having trouble with "externalEvent" in > shockwave.
