Well, you can't really "open" a folder as you would a file. I think you mean open it onscreen so you can choose a file? If so, look at both fileXtra and fileIO - FileXtra has functions like fileOpenDialog (for getting a filename), fileSaveAsDialog (for choosing a name to save as), and FileIO has the equivalents in displayOpen and displaySave.
