Sorry for the cross-post, but I thought people on this list might want to know about this.
I've been having trouble with MX crashing on Windows XP Pro (it might happen on other versions of Windows--haven't tested it). It's been happening for a while, and it's taken me a while to figure it out. Here's what I think is happening: - play a sound. Channel 1 will do - in the frame that sound ends or before, go to another movie - Hit a breakpoint in a beginSprite handler (I think also in a prepareMovie handler) If Director is playing a sound when it hits the breakpoint, you get a "Fatal Error. Director will quit now" message when you try to step over the breakpoint. Obviously, happens in authoring only. I'll be submitting this bug to Macromedia. Just thought I'd raise a flag in case others are getting mysterious crashes in authoring. Cordially, Kerry Thompson [To remove yourself from this list, or to change to digest mode, go to http://www.penworks.com/lingo-l.cgi To post messages to the list, email [EMAIL PROTECTED] (Problems, email [EMAIL PROTECTED]).
