I'm a bit late, but I have an example film for pasting on a transparent
backdrop. It's not as good as a pixel for pixel method, but it is certainly
useful and fast.  About a year or two ago someone on dir-games took my
script and improved a few things (not speed, function). Don't have that
anymore.
