Quick question about the fileIO xtra:
Regarding writeString(), I'm using it to write out a pretty long string. When the Lingo gets to that line of code, does code execution stop there until the string is entirely written out, or does it proceed to execute the next line of code while in the process of writing to the external file?
It is a synchronous, not an asynchronous event. Director does not "move on", director waits for the activity to finish.
