Michael,

> When will the Shockwave 10 player be made publicly available?

We haven't announced any hard dates so this information is not yet ready for
public consumption (I don't even know of a precise date at this point).

> How big is it?

IIRC, the Mac OSX installer hovers around 5Mb and the Win version around
4Mb. These are the full-installer sizes so they include Xtras like the QT
and DVD Asset Xtras (among others) that won't be part of the standard
web-delivered installers (those will be dl if needed options). In general I
believe the base installer size has only grown by 500Kb or less, most of
that due to the inclusion of JS syntax support (it's built into the core
player, the support is not provided via an Xtra).

> Does the 8.5(.1) player automatically update itself to 10?

No. The options here are for you to do browser detection or use the standard
object/embed tag structures to have users redirected to the download center
for an update. If folks view your new content while having SW7 or SW8
installed, those will in fact do the "auto-update" as you're expecting. But
in reality, that major revision auto-update was merely a Shockwave movie
that used an internally built Xtra to download and launch the shim installer
for you. So the only "auto" part about it was that it did the download and
launch for you.

> Can it do this if the computer is non admin rights (Windows)?

Well, no. See my previous answer. :)

> What xtras are included within the 10 player?

The base Xtra set has not changed and the new asset Xtras in this release
(DVD, Windows Media) are not included by default.
