One has been able to burn files to a dvd-rom, that come from director, and run them from a computer for a while, but I know of no way the director application can directly author dvds that are playable in traditional home dvd players...
Director is not a dvd-authoring tool, ala scenarist,dvdstudio pro, etc...If that's what you were asking.
