QuickTime 6.5 is not an option, my client is standardized on QT 5.02.
It ought to work in 5.02. The key frame spacing sounds good, but the data rate seems a tad high for machines that are old enough to be on 5.02. Should cause a crash though.
You might look over the QuickTime Settings control panel, to see what the video hardware settings are.
