Director MX 2004 Questions

I'm going to propose a project at work that involves multiple windows 
(MIAWs) and multiple Flash files and so i want to explore the validity 
of using Director MX 2004. However, I just want to ask a couple of 
questions to help me judge the best way of going about this and whether 
it would be better to approach this in Director MX.

Firstly, is there still a large number of Xtras that do not run on MX 
2004, specifically, SecureNet and BuddyAPI?

Secondly, how stable is the multi-Flash player thing in MX2004?

How have people found the overall stability with MX 2004 projectors ad 
which operating Systems are excluded from running them (Win, specifically)?

I know that I can probably find this sort of information from the 
Macromedia website, but any personal experiences and anecdotes are 
generally more useful and gratefully received.
