Hi Kerry... I can't verify that, but you might want to consider this: Certain directories (on Windows) could be locked down from non-admin users, where they can't even get to those directories, let alone getting to the files. Just make sure that wherever you're writing the file, it goes in a place accessible to non admin users to begin with. In my experience some non admin machines can't touch c:\program files. Nevertheless, I've used fileIO to write prefs files there without any problems reading the data back in later. Just something to consider.
