This may be oversimplified, and I may be missing something based on your
post. However, it sounds like you want to turn the monitor on and off the
same time every day, and you don't have to interface with the app at all to
do that.

Just get a timer and plug the monitor into the timer. I have a digital
Stanley timer for my fish tank that has many programs. I think it has five
timers with many combinations of days, and on/off times. Any hardware store,
even grocery stores, will sell a simple timer with one on and one off time
each day.

That should do the trick.
