Hi Alex!

Beeing a Mac fan, this is hard to say: I have been working with 2 graphic
cards in a Mac since the Quadra 950 and on Windows since Win98 and today Win
XP will work very reliable with 2 or more graphic cards as long as you use
cards that "fit together". This is the only problem (drivers). Which has
always been and still is a main difference between Apple and Wintel
computers of course.
So at least they are equal to this point, especially using a dual-head card.
I had QT-crashes 2 years ago, even that has disappeared.

Why I say "overtaken" is simply, that

1. cards are faster
2. cards are much cheaper (a 49.99 USD will do)
3. There are more settings (like the one huge desktop)
4. At least on my macs I have to reboot or go asleep and wake up to use a
freshly connected card. On XP I just activate it, no matter if it was
connected at start-up or not.

Of course these are just small differences and YES - I hate Windows and love
Mac, but these are the facts.

Best regards, Florian
