how to recieve a send sprite command????

i�m having a total brain meltdown here *laughing*
i can�t for the world recall how to recieve a sendSprite command.
theWord = getProp(infoList[plats], #eng)
sendSprite (myReciever, #changeWordColor, theWord)

how do i trap it in the recieving sprite??????
