Hi Colby,

Put a 1 bit image (the shape you want to use as *mask* -
black being the invisible part-) in the castLib immediately after
your *scrolling object* castMember (this has to be an image).

Then set the ink of this member to *Mask* when you place it
in 
the score. This should do the trick.

You can then animate your scrolling member which will only
be visible
within the white part of the *mask* member.
