If by 'samples' you mean 'examples', there are tons of usable ActiveX
controls that you can embed into Director, a few of which are:
* spreadsheet grid
* web browser
* windows media player
* netmeeting application
* ui controls
-- etc
Find them by clicking Insert->Control->ActiveX in DfW.
If you really mean 'samples', you probably won't get many answers back.
ActiveX controls don't work in shockwave, so it's not as easy as sending a
url. To fulfill this request, developers would probably have to send you
proprietary applications, and there's not much chance of that happening.
