>Hi, there is pirat program that let you open a dxr a convert it to dir

Now this I *am* upset with. I know I'm liable to stir up a hornet's nest
again, but pirate programs have no place on the list, especially the
wink-and-a-nod way you present it.

I am surprised to hear this, even. I've been on various lists for years,
and never heard of a program that will unscramble dxr files. I don't know
about the rest of you guys, but I would feel a lot less secure if this is
confirmed--I don't *want* my dxr's to be unscrambled.

Conrad, I sympathize with you, but be very, very careful with this one. If
you get it, I recommend you try it on a clean, isolated system. Make really
sure your system and your .dir files haven't been infected before you
transfer them from the safe environment--if, in fact, the program even works.

If this program exists, and works, please let us know--it's very important
to us and to you.
