It does work (at least it does in D7)
the soundLevel = pVolume
I have a "control panel" movie with a slider that both reads and changes the
sound level, which works perfectly on both Mac and PC.
Check your typing, the rest of your script, and make sure that your variable
(if you're using one) is an integer (not a float, stirng or whatever)
