I don't know Mark... I tried importing Jpegs as well, and tiny files ended
up huge in shockwave I couldn't see any compression whatsoever.
The only way I could keep them the same file size, was to link them
externally (and naming the whole folder "dswmedia")
It's possible, though, to embed a gif (importing it as "animated gif", and
setting the animated gif Xtra for "download as needed")- which was what I
ended up doing in the end.
The thing was, the gif's file size was larger then the jpeg's, but a dcr
with the jpeg embedded (not the linked one, and I didn't edit the jpeg) was
close to 1mb! and the one with a gif was 250k.
Big difference, don't you think?
So what's going on with Director?
