This has nothing to do with Lingo, but there's a new/old scam going around. 
If you're not interested in the info, please pardon the intrusion.

The e-mail may be from "desperate" at some address. The person writing the 
e-mail claims to be out of work and unable to support 2 children, and begs, 
very contritely, for you to send him a dollar or two to tide them over.

Don't bite. It's a scam. Some scumbag is trying to take advantage of your 
kindness.

The way it works is some boiler-room operation buys e-mail mailing lists 
for less than a penny per name. Typically, spam gets about a 2% return. 
Even without the extra boost from the fake appeal to your humanitarian 
nature, they stand to make 100% return on their investment.
