Actually, it covers up through D6.5, but Director in a Nutshell covers
D7.0.2 and there are articles on my site about dot sytnax.
The first chapter is free on my web site at the url in my sig. It starts
slowly, but not that slowly, and it isn't really a tutorial. It is more of
a quick reference.
You might check out the Lingo and Director Authorized by Macromedia Press
for a more gentle introduction.
