If the two modules are run during the same session, global variables
persist across modules. I have also used one or two field cast members
in an external cast to temporarily store information that was later
retrieved in a second module during the same session.
If you want information to be made available between session, the
setPrefs and getPrefs commands are useful for quick and easy saving and
reading of values.
