I've had great success with 'shockMail', a little script by Daniel Plaenitz
that uses getNetText to send email using a basic query to a server-side
PEARL script.  Daniel provides a demo DIR and the PEARL script at:
http://www.lingo.de/shockmail.htm

You can uses DP's server to try it out, but get the script on your own
server if you want to keep using it.

In addition to this you could check out the DOUG article, "Sending email
