Hi Mario, well this is kind of an answer,
Is there any particular reason why you want to show the user this video through
a web browser ? If it's just that you want to show them the latest version,
rather than the one on the cd, then why not download the video using
downloadNetThing() whilst they are watching the video on the cd. Then when they
want to see the latest version from your web site you can import this video (
once the download has finished ) into the directtor movie playing on the cd (
by setting the filename of a quicktime video cast member ) and they can see
this video through the cd.
Of course I could be misunderstanding what you want to do, but as you say it
would be better to use the time they are watching the local video to download
the remote one.
You should give them a 'preload the video from my web site' buton to start the
process, as it's bad manners to start network operations without asking.
