Have you ensured that you have put the author mode DirectEmail Xtra in the
Xtras folder for Director?
I run into a similar problem recently where I couldn't get the projector to
work with DirectEmail and I was sure that I had an appropriate xtra in the
folder. However, as a result of a coffee induced 'all-nighter' I had put
the authoring mode xtra in the xtras folder for the projector - DOH!
