You'll find plenty of help in Director's Xtras\ActiveX\ActiveX.hlp file.
You can also open it from within Director by clicking INSERT -> CONTROL
-> ACTIVEX -> HELP.

It'd be worth a read -- there's probably good info in there.

I haven't used that control, and don't know anything about it. It may be
older than WMP. Thanks for the link to the technote.

If you click INSERT->CONTROL->ACTIVEX, scroll to the bottom of the
resulting list, and see "Windows Media Player", then it's on your
system. Note that it's probably version 6.4.09, not 7. Microsoft hasn't
made version 7 available to apps like ours, but if you ever installed v6
on your machine, Director should see it.
