I don't know a way to search for certain application using lingo but
buddyApi's baFindApp command will return the full path name to the
application. Returns an empty string if the extension is not associated
with or a program, or the associated program does not exist.
e.g
Photoshop = baFindApp( "psd" )
Director = baFindApp( "dir" )
You can use any of the buddyApi's two commands, its free, if you are using
trial version.
