Can you supply some information about the sound, such as:
1. Format?
2. Sample rate/bit rate/bits per sample?
3. Compression codec (if any)?
4. Which soundDevice?
5. What Lingo are you using to play the sound?
And which OS?
Meanwhile, see if putting this in a movie script helps:
