To use Acrobat or Acrobat Reader, I prefer Buddy API's baOpenFile() 
command. It will open a file with its associated application. Buddy API 
also has functions that allow you to discover whether or not the user has a 
program associated with that file type. It's free for up to 2 functions, 
but you'll probably buy it once you see all it does.
