Jennifer, if you use the directmedia Xtra you also
have the documentation HTML-file....

You can use the property "duration of member"...

But here you also have all the properties
the Xtra provides you with....

If you want, I sent you the html file to your
e-mail account!

Properties
All properties of the DirectMediaXtra cast member can be easily set in the
Properties Dialog box, which is displayed when the cast member is created
and also when you double-click the cast member icon in the cast window.
These properties can also be set via Lingo.

The Sprite properties are only accessible when a DirectMediaXtra sprite is
being displayed on the score. You should use the sprite channel as the
argument to pass commands to the sprite.

Cast Member Properties:
the file of member
the title of member
the showlocatefiledialog of member
the linkedmedialocated of member

Betreff: <lingo-l> mpg timer/counter

yeah.. i was wondering if anyone could give me some advice either on how to
do this, or where to go to look: what i want to do is create a counter/timer

(like in quicktime, mediaplayer, etc) where it shows the current time code
of the movie playing--- but i want to do this for an mpeg video and i am
using the directmedia xtra.

i checked out the books, the macromedia site, and the directmedia xtra site
and cant find anything that would help.....

if anyone has any suggestions, or advice, or examples, i would be grateful.

JenS
