You can download a trial version of BudAPI and use upto two functions for free.
Besides that, I dont see any other reliable option, 'cept maybe asking the user for
the path.

Does anyone know of a script to detect whether or not the user has Acrobat installed
that does not use the Buddy API? I need to do the same thing Pranav needs to do, but
I do not have Buddy API. It only has to run on
Windows, not Mac. I'm currently using Director 7. Please help it's rather urgent.
