hi friends,
i have made one electronic attendance register in
director.
where it registers time in and time out of the staff
members .this runs through networking as the original
files are on the server and its shortcut is made on
the local machine so that each staff can register
from thier machine. i have used setpref and getpref
command to write or update external txt file as thier
log record.
but the problem is that though the files reside on the
server it picks time from the local machine only.
to rectify this problem i have made one exe file on
the server and it continuasly reads the time and date
from the server itself and writes it in an external
txt file and my main application now instead of date
and time command simply picks up the date and time
from this external txt files.
it is anyway working fine but the problem is that isnt
there any way in which i can directly pick up time
from the servers system clock.because sometimes i get
a script error message also.
pls if anyone can help me out to make my program more
efficient.

thanks in advance
