Yes. I did read your question.

I posted that section again because I though maybe my last post was too
long.

There is one thing you I want to make clear:
The GetUserEmailPref() function is not a function of DirectOS Xtra or
any other xtra. GetUserEmailPref() is simply a lingo function.

If there was a way to do it as a function in DirectEmail Xtra we would
have done it as we did in The Mac version of the xtra.
There is no global location on Windows where such info is being stored.

We tried to cover as much email client softwares as we could so we would
be able to offer that Lingo function that can be easily extend to work
under specific configurations and future mail softwares.(as lotus notes
for example)

And as I mentioned before you can (and some did in the past) edit that
function to use similar Xtras to DirectOS Xtra.
