hey all, quick question; hopefully a quicktime guru can help me out.... I've a lesson produced dynamically from a database that consists of text, a possible quicktime movie or jpeg, and some audio. All I want to do is a sequence of events that, dependent on some variables, would play in sequence (not synched), 1) quicktime movie then audio 2) audio then quicktime movie. It's not a big deal, and there are a number of variables to go against to figure out what plays when. I've got this all figured out. The problem is the way the sequence is figured out, is -which order if qt is first, link external qt movie if sound is first link external soundfile start sequence. The problem arises when the audio starts the sequence; the audio is linked, the quicktime movie is linked then the sequence starts....but although the movie is 'linked' there's a bit of a lag/drop while the movie is loaded in (and this is only a 1 meg movie)...then the audio stutters. I've looked at all the options I can think of...mediaReady is true as it's next to the app, loaded is true, preload is true...the only thing I might do is before running the sequence waiting til the qt movie plays 5 ticks or something, pause the sequence, then play the sequence.... anyone understand what I'm saying here? --------------------[ http://www.grimmWERKS.com ]------------------ [ graphic design -|- sound design -|- shockwave -|- lingo -|- cdrom ] [To remove yourself from this list, or to change to digest mode, go to http://www.penworks.com/LUJ/lingo-l.cgi To post messages to the list, email [EMAIL PROTECTED] (Problems, email [EMAIL PROTECTED]) Lingo-L is for learning and helping with programming Lingo.
