Hmm. Can't write to the hard drive, can't write to the CD-ROM.

Store the information on an Internet server (postNetText)?

How about a floppy disk?

If on Windows, does writing to the Registry count as saving to the hard 
drive? Buddy API is great at reading/writing to the Registry.

If none of the above are acceptable, I'm afraid you're out of options. The 
info has to be saved _somewhere_.
