Choose >Modify >Movie >Xtras in Your D7/8 menu bar to include and remove xtras.
The safest way to find out which ones You really need is to exclude all
and then add them step by step (externally I recommend. Some xtras are
almost always necessary like Text Xtra, Quicktime, etc.

The advantage is less files on Your CD-Rom. And less copywork if You
copy Your projektor to the harddisk.
The disadvantage is slower start of the projector and You'll need more RAM.

It definitely does.

Currently the client is complaining that it is very slow

Do some tricks like:
Include the first screen of the movie in the projector (screenshot)
Show the user what You are doing (like "loading..." etc.)
Probably You can speed start-up with optimizing Your castMember preloading
There recently was also a tip on this list how to make the projector
show a screen on loading instead of black.
