What I had done a while back was make something like the color balance tool
that Photoshop provides. You could control the RGB percentage of an image
by dragging sliders around. Might've had worked for you, if I had the file
with me right now. It's @ home. I'll send it tonite.
Meanwhile, I remember sending the open file to someone else on the list. If
that person can send it back to me and a copy to Ramesh too, it'll be
nice.... :-)
