i had a similar problem with swa & looping;
i created a swa out of a wav and imported it --> small gaps while looping
what helped:
import (not link) the wav file and then convert it to shockwave
with your publish settings..... (dir 8) . this misterioulsy didn't give
me any gaps anymore....
