Change the link Jakob supplied to:

Use the external Xtras folder as suggested by Tab and others.
Use FastSplash as Jakob suggested (it also has a setting to prevent
multiple instances).
Once you've done all that, then you've done what you can and the rest is
totally dependent on the machine. Even audio CDs take some spin-up time
before you can hear the music & they're not doing half as much.
